Your privacy.

The contact form asks for your name, email address, organisation or event, session type, and a description of the audience and desired outcome. You can also provide timing, delivery, location or time zone, budget context, and how you found the site.

These details are used to review and reply to the enquiry and, where appropriate, discuss scope and arrangements. They are not used to enrol you in a newsletter. Please do not send confidential data, private source code, health information, passwords, payment-card details, or other sensitive information through the form.

Form submissions pass through Cloudflare and are sent to my inbox using Hostinger Email. A copy is also stored in the sending mailbox.

A fixed deletion schedule is not stated here. You can use the contact page to ask whether an enquiry is still held or to request deletion; some records may need to be retained for operational or legal reasons.

The site can load Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Microsoft Clarity to understand visits and improve the site. In the European Economic Area, United Kingdom, and Switzerland, the site asks before these optional tools load. In other regions, analytics may load without displaying that regional prompt unless you have disabled it on this browser.

When these tools load, they may receive ordinary web-usage information such as the pages visited, referring page, browser or device information, approximate location, and interactions configured for measurement. Enquiry names, email addresses, organisations, and message text must not be sent to analytics.

Microsoft Clarity provides heatmaps and session recordings of page interactions, such as clicks, scrolling, and navigation. The contact form is explicitly masked for Clarity, and the site does not send enquiry fields as analytics identifiers or events. Clarity may use cookies to connect visits after analytics is allowed. This site sends Clarity a denied advertising-storage signal. Microsoft processes Clarity data as described in the Microsoft Privacy Statement.

The analytics choice is stored in your browser’s local storage under iali:analytics-consent:v2. Previous denials are kept. Where a choice is required, a previous Google-only approval does not automatically approve Clarity. The browser may also store information used by Google and Microsoft after analytics is allowed. Blocking storage or scripts can affect whether the preference or analytics works.

Cloudflare delivers the site and its media, applies redirects and security controls, and determines whether the regional analytics prompt is required. The browser receives only that yes-or-no result from the site’s region check, not the country value used to make it.

Like other web infrastructure providers, Cloudflare can process request information needed to deliver and protect the site, including IP address, requested URL, timing, device or browser details, and security signals. This operational processing is separate from optional analytics.

The site links to services such as Calendly, GitHub, LinkedIn, X, Instagram, Google Scholar, article publishers, talk hosts, and project sites. Following one of those links takes you to that service, where its own privacy terms and account settings apply.
