# Ali Mustufa Shaikh

Ali Mustufa Shaikh is a Senior Developer Advocate, AI educator and TEDx speaker, based between Mumbai, India, and San Francisco, California. He specialises in developer relations, generative AI (GenAI) education, API advocacy and community building, helping developers put AI tools and APIs into practice.

From October 2024 to September 2026, he was Senior Developer Advocate at Pieces, where he worked on GenAI 101 and the Pieces AI Summit and delivered 80+ AI workshops. GenAI 101 taught more than 10,000 developers. Previously, as a founding member of the Postman Student Programs team, he helped grow the program to 200,000 registered developers. He also founded the Postman Student Leader Program, which developed 420+ Student Leaders worldwide.

His teaching background spans 180 colleges across 38 cities and Google Cloud training for enterprise engineers. He is a founding organiser of TensorFlow User Group Mumbai and was a founding organiser of GDG Cloud Mumbai from 2018 to 2024. His work on Google Crowdsource machine-learning data campaigns spanned 22 countries and became the subject of his TEDxSPIT talk.

Ali is an Intel Software Innovator, Gemini Certified Educator and recipient of the IEEE MGA Larry K. Wilson Regional Student Volunteer Award.

## Developer education & AI workshops

I’m a developer advocate and AI educator based between Mumbai and San Francisco. I teach generative AI, APIs and agents through workshops for developers, university students and engineering teams. At Postman, I helped build the Student Programs and founded the Student Leader Program. At Pieces, I worked on GenAI 101 and delivered more than 80 AI workshops.

I’m a founding organiser of TensorFlow User Group Mumbai and was a founding organiser of GDG Cloud Mumbai from 2018 to 2024. My work brings developer education into college halls, community meetups and conferences. For organisers, I offer hands-on workshops, keynotes and advice on developer programs.
